Instructions:
Prep the pattern
Step 1: Print and cut out the pattern.
Step 2: Trace the pattern onto your fabric. Cut two pieces for the body and two for each claw. Apply Fray‑Check along the edges to prevent fraying.
Step 3: Cut the cable cord to the lengths indicated on the pattern. Seal the ends with a lighter so they don’t unravel.
Step 4: Use the pattern to mark the leg placement. Attach the cord to the body and claws—use Liquid Stitch to hold everything in place.
Step 5: Pin the top and bottom pieces of each claw together. Sew around the edges, leaving an opening for stuffing.
Step 6: Stuff each claw lightly. Avoid overfilling so you can close the opening easily.
Step 7: Attach the claws to the crab’s body and secure them firmly.
Step 8: Mark the eye placement. Use an awl to punch holes at your marks, then insert and secure the safety eyes.
Step 9: Pin the top and bottom body pieces together. Sew around the edges, leaving an opening for stuffing.
Step 10: Add stuffing and sew the opening closed. Your crab toy is complete.
And you’re done! Congratulations on making the Stuffed Crab Plush Toy!
