Binding clips are POORLY made now!

"I have been quilting for decades! When hand sewing the binding on the quilt, I have been using the Dritz Binding Clips. I recently had to buy more. The new clips are welded together, the original clips were ‘rivited” together. I loved the older clips, they hold the fabric really well and my only complaint with them was that I would lose some occasionally. That is all my fault because when I am hand sewing the binding, I take my quilt with me and do the hand sewing where ever I am. The only problem I have had in the past was other sewers were thrilled with the clips, so they would ask for a few so they could go looking to buy some for themselves. I would also loose some clips if I was sitting in a tight place, juggling the quilt around in tight seating areas. Occasionally some fall off and I can’t find them. I recently bought new clips and they are crap!!! They are welded together, and NOT VERY WELL! I have lost many of the ones I have purchased recently. I have bought 3 packs so far and have had more than half of them fall apart at the welding point! I can’t find any that are the older style, just the poorly made ‘new’ clips. Could you please let me know if you have any of the original ones that are not welded together. Also could you go back to the old clips so I can have clips that last. The clips you are currently selling are junk! I have used many Dritz products for years. I started sewing when I was 6 years old and I am now 74. Please let me know what you are going to do regarding what your solution is so I can continue to use your binding clips, thank you!"
