Reviews Not very ergonomic "I purchased a Prym "ergonomic" crochet hook a few months ago when my two (other brand) ergonomic hooks went into hiding. Thankfully, the lost hooks reappeared a few weeks later. The Prym hook is about an inch longer than the others and I do not find it to be ergonomic. The added length is in the shaft rather than the handle, so that I cannot easily reach the hook with my index finger, so my hand creeps forward every time I make a stitch and I soon find myself partly gripping the base of the shaft and partly the nice soft rubber handle. If my hands were larger and less arthritic this might not be a problem. I will probably keep the hook for emergencies, but not for regular use. I do like the bright color (harder to lose) and the shape of the tip of the hook. I would love the hook if the shaft could be an inch shorter."

Q&A I do like how it fits in my hand, but I find that the yarn stocks, like there is friction between the yarn and hook. This yarn doesn't do this with my other hooks. Any advice to solve this? Stephanie, thank you for your question. You state that the other hooks you have do not have this same friction. It makes me wonder if during the manufacturing process there may have been a small bur that wasn't smoothed out.
